Our Story…

Hi I’m Dave! This is the story of Best Pooch.

I grew up in Vancouver surrounded by animals from my own family budgie to my friends and neighbour’s dogs. I started out my working life as a successful social worker and youth and family counsellor enjoying the connections that came with that profession. A couple of years ago, I took on the responsibility of my own dog – an energetic English Labrador, named Luna. Ever since then, I’ve been walking Luna alongside a handful of other dogs from the neighbourhood. Then, I realized I could turn the connections I’d gained, along with my professional skill set and turn what I love to do into a thriving dog-walking business and career.

Once I completed my dog-walking certifications, Best Pooch was born.

Over the past few years I’ve been working to and have built that trust with a multitude of different dogs of all sizes, breeds and ages. I truly love what I do and am excited to expand my dog walking services through Best Pooch, reaching more owners and dog’s across Vancouver’s West Side. With Best Pooch, you can trust that you’re leaving your dog in the most capable hands. I am proud to offer services ranging from group walks to individual sessions. You can expect daily walk reports complete with descriptions and photos so you never miss a moment.
